The Geneva Powers Memorial Scholarship

Geneva Powers Graduated from Springdale High School in 1961.  In 1965, she began her public teaching career at Springdale High School, where she initiated the choral music program.  She taught Choral music for 25 years in the Springdale Schools, instructing at both Springdale High School and Central Jr. High.  Upon her unexpected passing in 2015, her family and friends established this one-time $1000 Scholarship to be awarded each year to a student going to college to study Choral Music.
