SPSEF grants are designed to provide funding for projects that increase learning opportunities for students and reward the creative initiative of teachers.
SPSEF grants are funded by generous contributions of the Springdale Public Schools employees who elect to support the Foundation via a district payroll deduction, donations from private individuals, and contributions from corporate partners. SPSEF’s mission is to promote and support excellence in education. One of the ways in which we accomplish this is by attracting private and philanthropic funds to sustain and expand educational programs that fall outside the Springdale Public Schools normal operating budget.
Applying for Grants:
The Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation Board of Directors will begin accepting requests for the Spring 2018 grant cycle on April 5, 2018.
Grants are awarded based on the quality and originality of the projects/programs. Teachers who apply for a grant in 2018 may be asked to explain their project/program to the Directors prior to the awarding of the grant. Grant moneys will be distributed and coordinated by SPSEF. All 2018 grant awards will be announced HERE and on the Foundation FaceBook Page on May 21st, 2018.
The application process has changed. You will no longer download the grant packet and fill it out. We have moved our application to a digital platform. Beginning with this grant cycle you will be able to access the grant application by following the instructions and clicking on the link below:
1. To see the specific criteria for the open grant cycle, click on grant application link to read the eligibility, criteria, and guidelines for applying.
2. To apply for a grant click on the blue APPLY button next to the grant application link.
3. Once you have been redirected to the grant application page you will be prompted to create an account and then begin filling out the application. If you can’t finish the entire application in one session, don’t worry because you will be able to save your work and return at a later time to complete or update your application.
The Foundation only accepts grant applications for this cycle between April 5th and May 7th. For more information about applying for grants, please contact the Foundation Office at (479) 365-2696 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
